Apart from the Conseil Général des Bouches-du-Rhône which took the initiative in 1991, the environment technopolis is also backed by local institutions such as the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays d’Aix, the Region Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marseille-Provence.

Our role

The technopolis is a place of special welcome for companies whose vocation is to integrate the environmental problem in their development strategy.

It is also involved in the diffusion of environment technologies, especially to Small, Medium Enterprises. To help these firms fulfil their projects, the technopolis offers them the chance of integrating the various networks of excellence, particularly in transfer of technology. It gives them access to a series of scientific resources in the domains of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, geology, etc.
